What is WakandaCon you ask? WakandaCon is a convention for Black Panther fans. The event is inspired by the hit movie, which grossed $1.3 billion at the box office and is a 3-day celebration of tech, pop culture and Afro-futurism where you can learn about gaming, politics, celebrate womanhood or just bask in the glow of being black.
If you've been called a nerd, then this is definitely the place for you! There will be panels, workshops, appearances and activities for all to enjoy. Wakandacon is inclusive and all are welcome to come celebrate together. The event takes place Aug. 3-5 at the Hilton Downtown Chicago on Michigan Ave.
