Now before we get too excited that Kanye West will buy a house in Chicago and move back home, I want to let you know that I'm pretty sure he will buy a house and visit the city here and there.
There is no way our homeboy just built a gazillion dollar house in Cali, which is bigger than a high school, and will then turn around and move to Chicago. We all know he can afford a house anywhere in the world, and I am so happy to know that he will set up shop here back at home and start working on some things in the community that will make our beloved city a better place.
Kanye recently talked to the WGCI Morning Show and stacked up some promises on the air that he wanted to come back and give back to the city that basically "put him on." I love Kanye, and I've said it over and over, even when the rest of the world wasn't sure what to do with him. He is something very special and has a genius mind, he's passionate about what he thinks and feels and at the end of the day he is a bold Chicagoan who is looking to make moves.
So welcome back home Kanye! We are so excited to have some of your energy around this city and I look forward to not only sitting back and watch you make change, hopefully I will have an opportunity to roll up my sleeves and step in and help you at some point.
And for the rest of you Kanye fans, don't be surprised if you see buddy out and about around the city. There have been plenty of sightings of him and some of his crew in the past few weeks. Chicago loves you bro, our arms are opened wide.
