Welcome To Chicago, Kirk Franklin!

I am such a huge fan of Kirk Franklin! From the time he hit the scene in the late 90s with "Melodies From Heaven" to his more secular sounding songs like "Stomp," "Looking For You" and more, I really really like this cat's music. What I like most is that it is so relatable, mostly every song Kirk performs has a message that can reach anybody from any walk of life.

Kirk is known for sampling music from famous R&B artists. On his latest album, Long Live Love, he takes the hook from Peabo Bryson's "Reaching for the Sky," and on the bridge of the same song "Father Knows Best," he samples 90s R&B group Troop's "Spread My Wings." I enjoy how he arranges his music because although he is sampling something we're familiar with, he still keeps it Kirk.

Kirk is a multi-platinum selling artist, has won just about every award including several Grammys and his performance style will definitely keep you engaged. Good music, great talent, cool dude. Kirk hits the stage at the Chicago Theatre this evening.
