We hear and see news reports of crime in Chicago every day. But like most big cities there will always be the issue of crime and other problems. Although there are negative activities that happen all the time, there are good things to say about our beloved city of Chicago.
I would like to think that there could be a perfect balance of good and bad, but unfortunately most often the media focuses on the negative. A basic fact of the news media is "If it bleeds it leads." But don't you wonder what would happen if feel good and positive stories opened every news cast?
There are so many awesome and wonderful people, places and things in Chicago including diverse neighborhoods, programs and resources that are within arms reach to better lifestyles, excellent colleges and universities and other higher learning institutions, historic places of worship, people from all walks of life and so much more.
Chicago is and will always remain a world class city despite social ills. I'm a proud Chicagoan and will continue to do my best to make this city even better.
