From Viruses To Global Warming, We're All Affected

As I watch the news I grow more and more concerned about all of the things that are happening globally. There was a time when something happened in another country or clear across the globe people would shrug their shoulders and say, "Oh that's over there, not here in America." Well guess what? We are living in a global world, where everything that happens in any location matters.

Whether you live in Wuhan China or Chicago, diseases, viruses and issues affecting our environment can affect us all. It's not like the Coronavirus only stays in one part of the world. As we have seen, the disease is spreading quickly, killing nearly 2800 worldwide so far. This is serious. And each day it seems as though there is a new case of the virus in the U.S.

The powers that be really need to be aware of what is going on around us. We can no longer turn a blind eye to what is going on across the water, we need to pay real close attention. And closer to home for Chicagoans, Lake Michigan is letting us know that something is happening, something serious is happening.
