When was the last time you read a book? No, really, when was the last time you actually read a book that wasn't a digital download? I'm talking about an actual book that you have to hold in your hands and flip the pages.
Well since we've been quarantined I'm actually beginning to pay more attention to some of the things that I have in my home. I love books, and I have plenty of them at my house. This week while sitting on the couch I looked over at the bookcase and grabbed a book. After I read the introduction I became so interested I couldn't put the book down so I started reading and the next thing I knew, I had read the whole 300-plus page book within a few days.
I have to admit it felt really good to allow my imagination to run wild as I got lost in the pages, literally turning each one of them with excitement and intrigue on what would happen next. You know everything doesn't have to be about social media during the quarantine. Get off the computer, tablet or phone and pick up a book. It's really okay, it actually recharged me and took me back to the way things were before everything was about the Internet.
