Chicago's Lakefront To Reopen, But With Restrictions

Many Chicagoans are growing weary of the stay at home order due to the pandemic, but we have to continue to be patient and slowly get back to our routines. One major thing that we are missing is access to the lakefront, which has been closed for weeks because people were not adhering to the shelter in place orders.

But Mayor Lightfoot is now saying that the lakefront will open at "some point this summer" but she's not saying exactly when. She did, however, say "sooner than later" which put a smile on the faces of many, including mine.

When the lakefront does reopen, there will be limits on the types of activities and how many people will be allowed in certain areas. It will be interesting to see how that's going to be enforced.
