Illinois Bars and Restaurants Set To Open May 29

As we are just over a week before entering Phase 3 of the reopening of Illinois, Gov. Pritzker revised the plan on restaurants. Beginning May 29 bars and restaurants will be open for business, but here are some of the guidelines:

Curbside service and drive-thru's will remain operational.

Full service restaurants will have to offer outdoor seating only.

Customers have to eat on the patio of restaurants.

Tables must be six feet apart and away from sidewalks.

Patrons must wear a mask.

I'm quite sure business owners of bars and restaurants are happy about the Phase 3 revision to open their doors a little earlier than originally planned. However, restaurants cannot open for dine-in service until Phase 4. Unfortunately 20 to 25 percent of restaurants throughout the state will close permanently, according to a spokesperson for the Illinois Restaurant Association.
