Hold Up Chicago, Outdoor Dining Not On The Menu Yet

After Gov. Pritzker said Illinois restaurants can open with outdoor dining next Friday, Mayor Lightfoot says that's not the case for Chicago restaurants.

Many owners of Chicago restaurants are upset because they will not be able to open for outdoor dining on May 29 when Phase 3 of Illinois' shelter in place goes into effect. Although the mayor is not giving an exact date, she's thinking restaurants may open for outdoor dining somewhere between the beginning to mid June. Even then, face coverings and social distancing will be required.

Not only that, The 606, Riverwalk and the lakefront will not be opening either anytime soon so you'll have to make plans to do something else this holiday weekend.
