Chicago Bars and Taverns Will Rollback Reopening Beginning Friday

Due to an uptick in confirmed COVID-19 cases, Mayor Lightfoot has ordered bars, taverns and other businesses that serve alcohol on site -- and not food -- to serve patrons outside only. No more indoor dining. But restaurants can still serve patrons inside and outside.

And those establishments that have moving walls and doors that open up to outdoors, sitting next to a window is considered being outside. In addition the maximum party size is now six people and there still should be a distance of six feet between tables.

These restrictions will go into effect this Friday in order to give businesses time to prepare.
