Throwback Thursday: "Joy" by Blackstreet

When I played this song during the "90s@9" on the #BFX today, I thought to myself that this song is not only beautifully musically, but the lyrical content means so much. Typically we'd think the artist would be singing about his romantic relationship, but clearly he's singing about the love between a father and daughter. How sweet.

Written by Teddy Riley and Michael Jackson, I think this song is very underrated. It really comes to life with the full orchestration, tight vocals and again the theme of the song. I think I might play this one a couple more times today because we could all use a little more joy in times like these.
