Mayor Lightfoot, CPS defend in-person learning plan for classroom return

Mayor Lori Lightfoot stated clearly Chicago Public Schools are doing everything they can to minimize the spread of coronavirus among students and staff. CPS CEO Dr. Janice Jackson detailed the $100 million spent to outfit schools and classrooms with better ventilation systems and other safety improvements highlighting what she called the need for an in-person option.
