Dept. of Homeland Security Pushes Back Real ID Deadline -- Again

Remember the Real ID everybody was rushing to get right before the pandemic hit? Well the deadline to get yours has been extended yet again. The Department of Homeland Security has moved the deadline to May 3 of 2023! That is more than two years from now!

The ID will be needed to board a flight or enter federal facilities. Now if you're traveling you can still present your passport, but most Americans will begin traveling with their Real ID. This new deadline is perfect for those of you who like to procrastinate, but I wouldn't wait too long to get it.
