George Floyd's Name Lives On Through Education

George Floyd's name will always be remembered through the George Floyd Memorial Foundation. The organization, which raises awareness on racial issues has awarded more than $50-thousand dollars in scholarships.

The scholarships range from $1-thousand to $10-thousand dollars distributed to interns, law school students and undergraduates. The foundation also gave HBCU Fayetteville State University $25-thousand dollars.

The foundation's executive director says the hope is that the scholarship recipients will become attorneys, scholars and activists who will work hard to make sure people are treated fairly around the world.
