We all know divorces can take a long time, usually because the couple is fighting over the kids and/or money.
But 7 years feels like a stretch, especially when you’ve already split your stuff equally and agreed to share custody… like Arnold Schwarzenegger and Maria Shriver, who are still technically married today after filing for divorce back in July of 2011.
Maria filed after finding out about Arnold’s love child with the housekeeper… and according to TMZ, even though all their reps say they’re not getting back together, neither one of them can bring themselves to sign the papers to make it official either.
There’s a couple I know that did get divorced, but lived around the corner from each other, often had dinner at the house they once shared and even went to a family reunion like they were still together… and they did that until the day he died.
I guess sometimes you just can’t let go… with or without the papers.
