June is Alzheimer's & Brain Awareness Month and you know it’s a cause near and dear to my heart after caregiving for my father. So I’m all about events and things that support caregivers… and here’s an amazing way to get a break with some good entertainment and the resources you need at the same time.
Next Saturday, June 10th, The Alzheimer's Association and GDavis Productions & Films host the Chicago debut of the new stage play, “Unforgettable” at DuSable Museum. It’s a dynamic telling of what happens when you care for a loved one with Alzheimer’s in our community.
There are two shows at 11am and 3pm plus a VIP reception with the cast and Alzheimer’s Association CEO Dr. Joanne Pike (register for VIP event here) plus performance from Adrian Crutchfield who played with Prince on Friday night. It’s all free but you need to reserve your tickets in advance (register for play here). And there will be local Alzheimer’s and caregiver resources on exhibit.
