Charlie's manager says Charlie passed away from leukemia Wednesday morning in a hospital in NYC. He was going through chemo there.
He was known to be apart of the "Chappelle's show" playing parts in some of the most memorable skits... including when he partied with Prince.
He also wrote some of his brother, Eddie Murphy, movies including "Norbit". He had a major part in "Are We There Yet?" and "Black Jesus".
Recently, he toured with Cedric the Entertainer, Eddie Griffin, and George Lopez.
Charlie Murphy was a young 57.
