Blige is being honored with her own star on The Hollywood Walk of Fame today which also happens to be her birthday -- talk about special! Her star will be unveiled in the recording category, and of course her homeboy Diddy will be taking part in the ceremony. After all, he was very crucial in her success in the early part of her career.
“Mary J. Blige is one of the most popular singers of our generation. Fans will be thrilled to see her star on the Boulevard as her career milestones are celebrated on this very famous sidewalk,” said Ana Martinez, producer of the Walk of Fame ceremonies.
Mary J. was nominated for Best Performance by an Actress in a Supporting Role in Any Motion Picture for her role in Mudbound as Florence Jackson, so we may start seeing more of the Queen on the small and big screen. I've been a fan for years, not only is she just raw in every since of the word, but her boot collection leaves me breathless.
