With the 4th of July holiday falling smack dab in the middle of the week this year, many will take advantage of it and enjoy an extended weekend on both sides of the week. And because of this, airports across the country will be filled with hundreds of thousands of travelers.
Here at home both O'Hare and Midway airports are expected to hit record numbers of travelers because more Americans are traveling than ever before. O'Hare is expecting more than two million passengers through its doors, while Midway is expecting just under half a million. If you're headed out for the holiday please be sure to allow enough travel time to get to either airport and be prepared to wait in long lines at the security checkpoints. Safe travels.
