V103, Inspiration 1390 and WGCI present the 2nd Annual Cracker Barrel Sista Strut 3K Breast Cancer Walk presented by Your Local Ford Stores... Saturday, October 13th at the Salvation Army Kroc Center, 1250 West 119th Street, Chicago, IL.
The goal of Sista Strut is to heighten awareness about the issues for breast cancer in women of color, as well as provide information on community resources. Sista Strut recognizes the strength of survivors, their families and friends, heightens awareness, promotes early detection and the search for a cure.
Awareness will help survival rates with earlier diagnoses.
A portion of the proceeds are donated to the Sister’s Network, a national African American Breast Cancer survivorship organization benefiting women in Chicago.
The registration fee for Sista Strut is: $15 individual/$20 for each team member
*Registration Fee includes Sista Strut t-shirt for both Individual sign-ups and Team Member sign-ups. A team can consists of 2+ people (no maximum). Each participating member of a Team must sign up as a Team member in order to receive a Sista Strut t-shirt and backpack.
WHY WE STRUT
Do you know that African American women have 41% higher death rate from breast cancer than white women? And, are more likely to be diagnosed before age 40?
Additional studies show that African American women are more likely to get breast cancer at a younger age and have a death rate from breast cancer higher than that of Caucasian women of the same age.
That needs to change! Get involved with the Sista Strut and make a difference!

When and where is Sista Sturt?
Saturday, October 13th at the Salvation Army Kroc Center. 1250 W 119th St, Chicago, IL 60643. Rally begins at 8am and walk is at 10am.
What if it rains?
Sista Strut will proceed rain or shine. Sista Strut registrations are non-refundable
