Traffic may be disrupted yet again on a major Chicago expressway that leads to one of the busiest airports in the world. Organizers are planning to shut down the Kennedy Expressway on Labor Day in order to get their message across about non-violence and other issues involving the lack of resources in certain neighborhoods across the south and west sides of the city.
The shut down is scheduled to occur at 11 a.m. or noon on September 3rd, which is a busy travel day for those who will be coming back home from getting in those last minute summer trips. The same organizers who planned the shut down of Lake Shore Drive earlier this month are planning this march as well.
