Police warn of string of armed robberies in South Loop, Hyde Park

It's time for another installment of 'Punks and Robbers'. Police say a group armed and violent suspects committed six back-to-back robberies in the South Loop and Hyde Park over the weekend. Chicago police issued a community alert after there were five attacks in the South Loop and a sixth near the University of Chicago in Hyde Park from Friday into Saturday morning. In each case, the suspects used the same tactics: after approaching the victims, one pulls a semi-automatic handgun, then they demand property and money. In some cases the victims have been beaten up. These punk cowards will get what is coming to them soon.
