Just weeks from filing for divorce, Monica drops a new single called "Commitment." I'm sure the underlying theme of the new single has a lot to do with her ex-NBA baller husband Shannon Brown, whom Monica was married to for eight years. We all know relationships have their ups and downs, but I never like to hear of someone parting ways with that person they vowed "to love until death do you part."
Life happens, situations arise and sometimes going in separate ways is the best thing for both parties. While I don't know the situation of their divorce, Monica once again brings us a good R&B song, which is sorta like an anthem for women who may be going through some marital issues too.
Props to Monica, her career has been going strong since day 1, and over the years her fans have definitely been committed to her.
