It's so hard for me to have a favorite Janet Jackson song because I am a huge fan of Miss Jackson and have been pretty much all of my life, but "Pleasure Principle" is pretty high on the list. I guess it's not so much the song, but the video is one of the best videos I've ever seen. Believe it or not I used to perform these dance moves (climbing the chair and all) and I knew every move like it was nothing. That was then.
Janet is that icon that young girls wanted to be in the 80s and 90s and can you believe she is celebrating -- wait for it -- her 53rd birthday today? Amazing, right?
Janet is also quite busy these days, not only does she have to care for her young son, but she is embarking on a Las Vegas residency which begins tomorrow. "Metamorphosis" will run throughout the summer at Park MGM in Vegas and it promises to be a sold out show each night.
I'm so happy for Janet, her career has been amazing and no matter what birthday she's celebrating,she's still got it!
