Drats. The Chicago Bears lost their preseason home opener to the Carolina Panthers. Oh well, everybody says preseason games don't really mean a whole lot, they are just a way to see who gets cut and who remains on the team.
I don't know, sometimes I beg to differ. Yeah, a preseason game doesn't go down in the books but I did want the boys to win. I think psychologically when you when a game it pumps you up and gives you the confidence that you can keep winning -- that's my take on the preseason games.
But hopefully last night's game will not be an indication of how the rest of the season goes. Carolina got us 23-13. Next up, the Bears take on the Giants Aug. 16 in New York.
