Find Your Inner Peace In The Midst Of Trials

There is so much negativity going on in the world around us, not only around the world, and across the country but right in our back yards. The struggle is real and it can really take its toll on us. Every time I watch the news the lead story is about someone being killed, and in some cases it is more than one person. This saddens me. It's almost as though we hear these types of stories so often that we begin to become numb to the reality.

Couple that with hatred in the world, people flipping you off in traffic, impatient and irritable people who work in customer service or even just walking by someone who you speak to and they don't even respond. What is going on with us? I realize that people have a lot on their minds, they may not be happy with where they are in life or there could be something happening within their families, but every once in a while you have to "detox" and renew your mind, body and spirit.

There are many ways in which you can do this. One way is to get out of your every day environment and visit a place you've never been to. Take a walk through a forest preserve. Go to the zoo and watch animals in their habitat. Pamper yourself with a massage or manicure and pedicure, because when you look good, you feel good. Take a mini vacation to a place where you can take your mind off of everything that is happening at home. Buy yourself a gift, even if it's a trinket. Get lost in a fictional book, where your mind can escape from reality for a minute.

Whatever you decide to do, just do something to release the every day stress and drama that may be weighing you down. Mental and emotional negativity can affect the physical body and that can lead to other issues. Trust me when I tell you, when your mind tells you it's time for a break, take it.
