Going Viral On Social Media Can Get You Seriously Hurt Or Even Killed

This is a very disturbing video to watch on so many levels. One, I don't know if this woman has a mental illness which made her want to cross a barrier into a lion's den at the Bronx Zoo in New York, or if she just wants to go viral. If it's the latter let me just say that NO viral video is worth potentially losing your life.

Who does that? Zoo animals are already in a habitat that is not natural, and you can never be sure of what type of day they are having. So why did this woman risk her life, taunting the lion? If she did it so her video can go viral on social media that is absolutely foolish. It is not that serious just to get people to notice you. No ma'am, never.

We see videos all the time of people doing super crazy things because they know they will get views, likes and comments from the masses. Just recently a comedian jumped on the catwalk at a very prestigious fashion show and began walking right along with the models. That can be potentially dangerous because security could have mistook her as a threat and used excessive force on her -- or worse.

So the next time you want to be seen in a video, do something like talking to at-risk youth about opportunities that are available to them off the streets, or get a group of friends together and feed or build houses for the homeless in your town, or run errands for the elderly, maybe even make hospital visits to brighten someone's day. You may not necessarily go viral, but somebody, somewhere will be watching and liking.
