Those real die-hard Star Wars fans are probably already somewhere sleeping outside of a movie theater in anticipation of the final Star Wars movie hitting the big screen. It's hard to believe that the first film was released 42 years ago. And to this day, there is a cult following surrounding the Star Wars empire.
But will this really be the final movie? I've been hearing over the years that there would be one more movie, and then there ends up being more. With this type of sci-fi adventure, you can definitely keep the movies going for generations to come, but I guess filmmaker George Lucas said it's time to wrap it up.
I only really saw the first movie and I never really kept up with the series since then so I guess I'm not really that excited about the last one. I'm sure it will be a great film, and I know fans will come out in droves to see it. I also expect it to make box office history.
Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker hits theaters Dec. 20.
