I have to give props to 'The Voice' contestant Ricky Braddy who nailed John Legend's song "So High." But he claims he was terrified because he had to sing the song just literally steps away from John. You definitely couldn't tell he was nervous or scared because that dude sang his heart out.
I've always said if you're going to cover somebody else's song, especially from an artist like John Legend, then you better sing it just as well if not better than that artist. Ricky won with his rendition of the song. And John was obviously pleased as well as the other 'Voice' coaches. I like the tone of Ricky's voice and he manipulates it just right when going into his runs.
I'm not sure if he will be the contestant that wins it all, but lots of people in the music industry watch the show I'm sure, and I hope somebody will give him a shot at being that full-time artist he wants to be.
