Chicago Public Schools Announce Make Up Days From Strike

You didn't think Chicago Public Schools would skip making up the days missed during last month's strike, did you? CPS has announced five days that will have to be made up after teachers walked out of the classroom during the strike in October.

I can almost assure you one of the days there will be probably 10 percent of students in the classroom and that first make up day is next Wednesday, the day before Thanksgiving. Most families have plans to travel out of town or perhaps have family coming in for the feast, so students may still not be in school.

The other make up days are:

Thursday, Jan. 2, 2020

Friday, Jan. 3, 2020

Wednesday, June 17, 2020

Thursday, June 18, 2020

Parents and guardians please make sure your child is in school on these make up days, it is very important that our students get every ounce of education they deserve.
