The coronavirus pandemic has people really reflecting on their lives, as evident by the social media posts and inbox messages I'm receiving on the daily. As we are living in times of uncertainty and many are anxious, I want to give my thoughts about what is happening.
First let me say that this is certainly not a post about religious beliefs because I know everybody doesn't believe in the same thing and I respect that. But I want to share what I feel is going on. Simply put, I think God is trying to get our attention. There are so many things going on in the world today that He is not pleased with, and is mentioned in the Bible. Seeing as I am no biblical scholar, I will leave the references and rhetoric up to them.
However, I will say that during this pandemic I, too, have reflected on the importance of a closer relationship with God, and putting more focus on good health, a stronger connection to family, the insignificance of material things, the importance of integrity, morals, and values, and so much more.
Now that He's got our attention, could God be whispering in our ears, reminding us to spend more time with Him? Maybe He's throwing hints that we should slow down and enjoy family and friends, we should take time to celebrate life, help others and shine light on the world? Many of us just run through life trying to get to the prize, but what is the point if you can't enjoy it?
Now is the time to really think about how you will change the way you live after all of this fades away. As a matter of fact, don't just think about it, just start doing it. I am.
