Coronavirus Pandemic Cancels Chicago Concerts And Festivals

Brace yourselves Chicagoans, summer is cancelled. Well, not literally but because of the pandemic many of your favorite concerts and festivals that you may look forward to each year won't be happening.

So here is a partial list of some of the events that have been cancelled this summer:

Gospel Fest, Blues Fest, Memorial Day Parade, Taste of Randolph, Silver Room Block Party, House Music Festival, South Shore Summer Festival and many more.

What will people do this summer to enjoy themselves? There is plenty that can still be done. I'd prefer we stick with the shelter in place a little longer and be safe rather than jump back out in public and risk hundreds of thousands of Chicagoans becoming infected. We have to really think about it. There will always be time to celebrate, actually you can celebrate now because in reality whether there are festivals or not, life is too short.
