The mayor of the third largest city in Japan is getting dragged for making comments about how men should do the grocery shopping during the quarantine because they know how to get in and get out and are better at social distancing.
Osaka Mayor Ichiro Matsui pretty much said that men would help in preventing the spread of coronavirus when grocery shopping because they know how to shop faster, and would get in and get out. A popular journalist snapped at him via Twitter, basically saying the mayor doesn't know about daily life so how would he know.
Actually, I may have to agree with Matsui because as a woman, we do tend to linger a little longer and take our time when it comes to shopping. We're looking for sales, a variety of products and we even get distracted by things that are not on our shopping list. Of course not all women shop that way but definitely the majority of us do, that's just facts.
