Chicago sees the most violent weekend of 2020

This past weekend was, by far, the most violent weekend in 2020. We saw protests, both peaceful and we saw them unfold violently ending in riots and looting in the wake of Minneapolis police killings of George Floyd.

82 people were shot and 19 fatally. with more than half of the weekend's victims shot just yesterday, ending with a 18-year-old was shot in the head. Early Monday, the Chicago Police Department announced that it would be delaying the release of its crime statistics from the month of May “in light of recent activity and to ensure we have the most accurate statistics.”

My question is, when "can" the rebuilding start? We know downtown Chicago is underway immediately but when will both south and westside start rebuilding? The big corporations like, Walmart, Target and Walgreens, have the capital to rebuild, but what about the small business owners? Can they recover?
