Remember months ago when Mayor Lightfoot said residents would not receive parking tickets due to the stay at home order? Well, apparently the ticket-giving department didn't get the memo.
The city of Chicago handed out thousands of parking tickets to drivers who were in violation of parking rules. I'm not talking about a few thousand tickets, I'm talking 35,000 tickets!
Early on during the pandemic the mayor said City Hall would only issue parking tickets for safety violations, but that is not the case. Some residents even received multiple tickets within a given time frame. Are you on the ticket list?
