Student Athletes Plan To Sue To Get Back In Class And Play

Over the past few weeks there have been many rallies of students and parents in an effort to get back into the classroom and play high school sports.

Student athletes and their parents plan on suing the Illinois High School Association because they want to get back in class and participate in sports. So far there are 20 student athletes and their families pursuing the lawsuit but many more are likely to join in.

Meanwhile, Gov. Pritzker is adamant about not allowing high school football and soccer to be played, saying that the risk is still too high for the spread of coronavirus. The lawsuit is supposed to be filed Monday afternoon in DuPage County and the IHSA says they will not comment on it until they actually see it happen.
