With the pandemic still upon us, most everything is virtual these days and the BET Hip Hop Awards are no exception. But I'm sure the bosses at BET are not even pressed because they have already pulled off two major productions with a COVID-19 fundraiser and the annual BET Awards. Both shows were great!
Now it's time for the BET Hip Hop Awards and the nominees have been announced. DaBaby is leading the way with 12 nominations. Let me say that again - 12! Roddy Ricch is in second place with 11 nods and Megan Thee Stallion and Drake tied for third place with 8 nods each.
My favorite part of BET's Hip Hop Awards are the rap cyphers. Watching the rappers from different cities come together to wreck the mic gasses me up every time. And each year I say I'm going to put a cypher together but it never happens. I guess the world isn't quite ready yet for me to spit some bars.
