Gov. Pritzker Is Not Playing Games With New Restrictions

With new restrictions affecting both Chicago and four suburban counties due to an uptick in coronavirus cases, Gov. Pritzker is not playing any games for those who think they can ignore the requirements. Some restaurant owners are frowning on the new restrictions and say they will continue to do what they want in order to stay afloat.

But Gov. Pritzker has announced that he will have Illinois State Police officers drive by bars and restaurants to make sure they are adhering to the new restrictions, and if they aren't, there will be consequences, including the loss of liquor and gambling licenses.

DuPage, Kane, Will and Kankakee counties will no longer have indoor service at bars and restaurants. In addition, gatherings will be limited to no more than 25 people. And of course social distancing would be required as well as wearing a face covering or mask.
