The Nobel Peace Prize nominees have been announced and there are two nominees that stand out on the list.
Voting rights activist and former Georgia gubernatorial candidate Stacy Abrams is nominated for her work in promoting non violent change by voting. Ms. Abrams was very instrumental in boosting voter turnout during this past presidential election.
Black Lives Matter was also nominated for its role as the global racial justice movement, and for its struggle against racism and racially motivated violence.
