Finally! After months of delays, opposition from the community and more delays, the construction of the Obama Presidential Center is expected to begin this summer.
The complex will be located in Jackson Park and will include an athletic center, museum, public library, gardens, playgrounds, walking trails, bike paths and more. But more importantly the center will bring hundreds of job opportunities and give a boost to the city's south side.
Groundbreaking for the center is set to happen in August.
