Listen family, I'm just as frantic as the next person to get back to going to concerts, taking a vacation and enjoying summertime Chi but uh ... are we moving a bit too fast?
According to news reports, Mayor Lightfoot is giving the green light on some activities this summer. But realistically we are still in a pandemic and although thousands of people are getting vaccinated, is it too soon? Should we lay low for the remainder of 2021 or just get on with our lives?
I'm on the fence about it. Part of me wants to get on a plane right now and head to the mountains, but the other part of me is saying, "Girl, do you know that a plane right now could possibly be like a petri dish in a science lab?" I do have my reservations about this virus but at the same time it's time to move on!
