George Floyd's family will receive a $27 million settlement in a wrongful death lawsuit. While that is a lot of money and it will afford his family a different type of lifestyle, no amount of money will ever compare to his life.
Practically the entire world has viewed at least one time the heinous crime committed by the police officer who literally suffocated the life out of Mr. Floyd. Add the proper punishment to those involved in his death to the settlement and hopefully the family can find a sense of closure and press forward.
