This is a unique story, as we all grew up listening and loving on Anita Baker, she is now asking her fans to stop streaming her music and to stop buying her music. While responding to a fan on Twitter, Ms. Baker said, "Hello Sweetheart, thank you 4 sending me your love but, let's not advertise Spotify streaming, which is, a publicly traded company, with a 50 million valuation... but doesn't pay artist/creators what their worth."
She also went on to say she has outlive artist contracts but has yet to receive the masters that she is legally belong to her so the masters should be retuned to her.
We all know Anita Baker retired in 2017 and held a farewell concert in 2018, she's also the recipient on 8 Grammy Awards. But on a good Saturday afternoon, can we really stop playing Anita Baker music while we clean? But I can respect her wishes, still love her tho!
