It goes without saying that DMX's hometown should honor the rap icon. The mayor of Yonkers, New York, where 'X' is from is considering erecting a statue or naming a street after him. The mayor also says a memorial of DMX is welcome at Yonkers Raceway.
It's only fitting that a tribute should be paid to a man who had a multi-platinum selling album, was nominated for three Grammys and had an amazing music and acting career, although he also experienced some serious challenges throughout his life.
Like his family said, "DMX was a warrior to the end" and for that, he deserves his accolades.
