New music alert! The new song "Friends and Family" by the Isley Brothers featuring Snoop Dogg has a real R. Kelly-type vibe to it. I tried to ignore it but I just couldn't. Every note, the lyrics, the tone and beat sounds like one of the millions of unreleased songs Kelly may have in the closet.
We know the history Ron Isley has with The R., and we also know he produced the group Johnson Sisters, also known as the duo 'JS,' who Kelly also wrote and produced for. One of those sisters, Kandy Johnson is the wife of Ron Isley and she appears front and center in the video right next to him. See this connection yet?
Anyway, I just couldn't help but notice the song has that R. Kelly stamp all over it and it's a good dance song, one of those records you throw on at the barbecue to get the party started.
