I hope you remembered that today is the tax filing deadline! If you didn't, well you've got a lot of work to do. The federal deadline was pushed back from the usual April 15 to today because of the pandemic. However, there are people who will get yet another extension due to the winter storms this year.
The IRS said the extension is now June 15 for those who were impacted by the winter storms in February. Now don't try to play the IRS because you know they're not having it. If you live in sunny Florida and you're trying to say you were impacted by those snow storms then that just might be a red flag. Don't mess around and get audited, get your taxes done on time.
