The iconic and official portraits of former President Barack and First Lady Michelle Obama will be traveling to Chicago. The artwork will be leaving Washington, DC for the first time and will be on display at the Art Institute of Chicago.
Chicago is the first stop in the nationwide tour of the portraits, which will be on display June 18 through August 15th. The Art Institute is planning several events surrounding the exhibition.

- Los Angeles County Museum of Art; Los Angeles — November 7, 2021–January 2, 2022
- High Museum of Art; Atlanta — January 14, 2022–March 13, 2022
- The Museum of Fine Arts, Houston; Houston — March 27, 2022–May 30, 2022
