The state of Illinois including the city of Chicago will enter Phase 5 by fully reopening this Friday. This is going to be a big celebration for many people including myself because well, it's just time to get things back on track.
But please be mindful that the virus is very much alive and is being contracted by people every day. Sadly, there are many deaths each day as well. Just know it is perfectly okay to continue to follow the safety protocols we are all used to such as wearing a mask, practicing social distancing and washing hands frequently.
Do not be intimidated by others who choose to go without a mask and act as though we did prior to the pandemic. Remember, pandemics have no borders and can surge at any given time.
