There is just way too much violence in Chicago. Too much. I am so sad every time I turn on the TV to see a news reporter talk about another live lost in the city -- especially when that life taken is that of a child. And it seems as though crime is happening everywhere.
Car jackings are out of control, people are being shot on expressways, motorists are pulling out guns just because they got cut off in traffic, this is so senseless. It gets to a point where you don't even want to go out and enjoy life. Crime is all around us, whether you're in the swanky Gold Coast neighborhood, on the far south side, or out west, it just doesn't matter anymore.
PLEASE be kind to each other, take a deep breath and think before you react. It's not that serious to jeopardize your life or your family's. These crimes can have lifelong consequences that will affect those you love. Be peaceful Chicago.
