My heart is so sad knowing that there are people trapped under the condo building that collapsed a couple of days ago. It is one of the most devastating experiences to endure for the families and friends of the victims.
Officials say 4 people have died, and they fear many more will perish. There are three victims who are part of the more than 150 who are missing that have ties to Chicago. A University of Chicago student, a graduate of Loyola University and a 77-year-old man.
I pray for peace and understanding to all affected during this extremely difficult time. I am in awe at how a building can just collapse like that, and there is an investigation underway to examine the cause. The rescue operation is likely to take days.
